Our First Annual OSH Gala: A Night to Remember

On December 5, 2024, we hosted our First Annual OSH Gala at the beautiful Titlow Lodge, and it was a resounding success! With over 80 attendees, the evening was filled with joy, connection, and unwavering support for our mission. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised over $15,000 through silent and cake auctions, ticket sales, and donations.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible sponsors—Puget Sound Energy, Pierce Transit, Potential Unleashed, and Community Aunties—whose support made this event possible. A special thank you goes out to Dr. June Hairston for inspiring us as our guest speaker and to our wonderful emcee, Beverley Thomas, for keeping the evening lively and engaging.

We also want to acknowledge the amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly to set up, take down, and ensure the event’s success. Your dedication truly made the night unforgettable.

Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and supported us in making our first Gala such a memorable celebration. Together, we are making a difference!

OSH Spring Kickback

Youth Event

OSH Spring Kickback Recap

Our Spring Kickback was a major success! Over 20 youth joined us at the Our Sisters’ House office for an evening filled with fun, food, and community. Huge shoutout to Buffalo Wild Wings, Pizza Hut, and Cinnabon for keeping everyone fed and happy throughout the night — we appreciate your support!

The event had something for everyone: good music, classic Martin reruns, and even some hilarious Kai Cenat streams that kept the energy high. Between all the laughter and bonding, our youth also got competitive with a cup stacking contest, the fast-paced card game Spoons, and more group games that had the room buzzing.

It was a chance for young people to connect, relax, and just enjoy being in a safe, welcoming space. Moments like these remind us why we do the work we do.

Stay tuned — more events like this are on the way!

Women’s History Month Mixer

Community Engagement Event

March 31, 2025

Empowering Women, Building Community

To close out Women’s History Month, Our Sisters’ House hosted an empowering morning mixer that brought together 15 women-owned and women-led businesses for connection, collaboration, and celebration.

Guests kicked off the morning with Networking Bingo to break the ice and spark meaningful conversations. The energy continued with a fun and educational Kahoot! trivia game highlighting women’s achievements, followed by light refreshments, shared stories, and resource exchange.

More than just a celebration, this event served as a powerful reminder of the strength found in sisterhood and community. Together, we explored ways to support each other through partnership, visibility, and shared advocacy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event a success!
